Classic car show owners prepare for a retro event in Burnley town centre

Classic car owners who would like to display their cars at an event in Burnley town centre later this year are being asked to indicate their interest.

The town will be alive with retro cars and motors at a vintage car show in Burnley on Saturday, September 10.

Burnley Business Improvement District would also like to hear from motorbike owners as well as anyone with a vintage car who might be interested in participating.

All people need to do is fill in a short form on the Discover Burnley website and then the Burnley BID team will contact them if they are selected to take part.

Places are limited and potential participants are urged not to delay if they want to take part.

Burnley BID project manager Andrew Dean said: “The Burnley Vintage Car Show will bring something a little different to the town centre and our aim is for people to come and enjoy the beautiful cars on display, as well as taking time to pop into some shops and enjoy a drink or a bite to eat.

“The cars will be on display in St James Street as well as on Charter Walk and we hope people can see a real mix of cars from different eras and decades.

“If you own a classic car or know someone who does, check out the special event page on the Discover Burnley website. Seeing lots of beautiful cars and motorbikes in the heart of Burnley would be a real spectacle, so please email us today.”
